Footpath No. 44, Wolsingham - Temporary Footpath Closure due to Public Safety Concerns

(Public Rights of Way Footpath No.44 Wolsingham Parish)

(Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2024

The above-named Order made by the Council on 19/8/2024, under section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and which became operational on 20/8/2024 and was subsequently extended to 20/8/2025 has been continued in force as approved by the Secretary of State for Transport, until 20/2/2026 or until completion of the diversion order works, whichever is the earlier. The effect of the Order is to prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on a section of Footpath Number 44 Wolsingham parish, from the junction with Footpath Number 43 and extending southwards for a distance of 86 metres, to safeguard members of the public from falling. An alternative route will be signed on site parallel to the closed section.
