THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF CALDERDALE

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDERS 2025

(BAIRSTOW LANE, SOWERBY BRIDGE)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Yorkshire Water have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Bairstow Lane from No. 9 to No. 19 for a distance of approximately 35 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via unaffected part of Bairstow Lane, Burnley Road, Willowfield Road, Rochdale Road, Willow Hall Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 25th August 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 29th August 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(CARLTON STREET, HALIFAX)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Yorkshire Water have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Carlton Street from No. 11 to No. 19 for a distance of approximately 40 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Blackwall, Ferguson Street. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 25th August 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 29th August 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(SMITH CRESCENT, RASTRICK)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Express Traffic Management have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Smith Crescent from its junction with Highfield Road to end of Smith Crescent for a distance of approximately 25 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. No alternative route available. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 25th August 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 9th October 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(BROAD LANE, LUDDENDENFOOT)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Yorkshire Water have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Broad Lane from its junction with Sowerby Lane to No. 6 for a distance of approximately 62 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Clunters Lane, Sowerby Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 26th August 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 26th August 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 09:30 & 13:30.

(OVENDEN WOOD ROAD, HALIFAX)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Yorkshire Water have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Ovenden Wood Road from No. 73 to Fountain Head Road for a distance of approximately 30 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Fountain Head Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 26th August 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 26th August 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 11:30 & 15:30.

(STONES ROAD, TODMORDEN)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by OCU Utility Services Ltd have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Stones Road from No. 2 to No. 4 Pex Royd for a distance of approximately 125 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. No alternative available – access will be maintained for residents. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 26th August 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 1st September 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(WATER HILL LANE, SOWERBY BRIDGE)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Yorkshire Water have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Water Hill Lane from its junction with Water Hill Springs to Hoyle Green for a distance of approximately 60 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via Cliff Hill Lane, Stock Lane, Gibbet Street, Warley Road, Burnley Road, Blackwall Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 26th August 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 26th August 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 08:00 & 17:00.

(CORPORATION STREET, SOWERBY BRIDGE)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Yorkshire Water have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Corporation Street from No. 10 to No. 14 for a distance of approximately 50 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Hollins Mill Lane, Town Hall Street, Tower Hill. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 27th August 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 31st August 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(KELL LANE, HALIFAX)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Total Resources have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Kell Lane from No. 45 to The Stump Cross Inn for a distance of approximately 182 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Howes Lane, Lydgate, Back Clough, Bradford Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 27th August 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 27th August 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 09:00 & 17:00.

(PLOUGHCROFT LANE, BOOTHTOWN)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Yorkshire Water have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Ploughcroft Lane from No. 13 to No. 14 for a distance of approximately 10 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Boothtown Road, Queensbury Road, Swales Moor Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 27th August 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 27th August 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 11:30 & 15:30.

(GOODER LANE, BRIGHOUSE)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council have made an Order the effect of which will be the removal of parking bays located between A641 Huddersfield Road and Gooder Lane and western part of Railway Street. The bays will be replaced by No Waiting at Any Time Restrictions. Whilst the restrictions are in place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait, stop or stand in this area. PROVIDED THAT vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 30th August 2025 and remain in force until 1st March 2027.

(ST JAMES ROAD/BACK VICTORIA STREET)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Roadway UK intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of St James Road from its junction with Victoria Street to Great Albion Street for a distance of approximately 13 metres. Back Victoria Street to become one way from its junction with Pellon Lane for a distance of 81 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. For alternative route follow diversion on site. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 8th September 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 19th December 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(TANHOUSE HILL, HIPPERHOLME)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Sapphire Utility Solutions Ltd intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Tanhouse Hill from its junction with Halifax Road to Tanhouse Park for a distance of approximately 40 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via Halifax Road, Leeds Road, Godley Lane, Godley Road, New Bank, Listers Road, Shibden Hall Road, Halifax Old Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 8th September 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 21st September 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(SADDLEWORTH ROAD, BARKISLAND)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Total Resources intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Saddleworth Road from 50 m west of Wood End Lane to 250m east of Barsey Green Lane for a distance of approximately 130 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via New Hey Road, Stainland Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 8th September 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 8th September 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 09:00 & 16:30.

(HANSON LANE, HALIFAX)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Yorkshire Water intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Hanson Lane from its junction with Albert Street to Horne Street for a distance of approximately 10 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Horne Street, Pellon Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 9th September 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 10th September 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 19:00 & 06:00.

(WESTERCROFT LANE, NORTHOWRAM)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Northern Gas Networks intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Westercroft Lane from No. 29 to Lumbrook Mills for a distance of approximately 50 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Brighouse and Denholme Gate Road, Halifax Road, Bradford Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 9th September 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 15th September 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(GREEN LANE, WEST VALE)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Northern Gas Networks intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Green Lane from Long Heys to No. 116 for a distance of approximately 65 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is unaffected part of Green Lane, Long Heys and vice versa It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 11th September 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 6th October 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
