Kenneth Square - Temporary Road Closure for the Housing Development

What is happening?

The Council of the City of Salford has made under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: SALFORD CITY COUNCIL (TULLY STREET SOUTH) TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025. 

The Order will introduce a road closure of Tully Street South, between the junctions of Great Cheetham Street East and Kenneth Square. The Order is necessary for the housing development on Tully Street South. 

The order is due to come into operation on Monday 1st September 2025 and will last for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Sunday 1st November 2026. The diversion route is via Great Cheetham Street East - Bradshaw Street - Fenney Street East, vice versa.
