Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Checkendon, Uxmore Road
Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 18 August 2025
Coming into force: 25 August 2025

This Order is being introduced because of fibre cabling work. Various closures in a rolling program as part of multi order works which are anticipated to be completed 10 October 2025. This is a 24 hour daily road closure.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in 
lengths of Uxmore Road and joining roads. Appropriate traffic signs will be 
displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Access will be maintained for buses, cyclists and pedestrians. The alternative routes for traffic affected by the closure will be signed locally.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until 
the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16229/AC)
