The Cliffs - Temporary Road Closure To Prep And Resurfacing Works

Temporary Closure of The Cliffs
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along The Cliffs - from the junction with Daghole to the Cliffs Road, north-eastwards for a total distance of 3241 metres.
This Order will enable Heidelberg to carry out prep and resurfacing works on behalf of Somerset Highways.
The Order becomes effective on 4th September 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 10th September 2025 and last until 11th October 2025 between the hours of 18:30 to 23:30 for the section from junction with Daghole to the Cliffs Road to 80m North of Cheddar Caves Entrance and 18:30 to 07:00 for all other sections. for a total of 31 days.
