Shepton Old Road - Temporary Road Closure For Drainage Works

What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Shepton Old Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Shepton Old Road - from the junction with Long Street, south-eastwards for a total distance of 191 metres.

This Order will enable Kier to carry out drainage works on behalf of Somerset Highways.

The Order becomes effective on 4th September 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 8th September 2025 and last until 26th September 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 19 days.
