High Street - Temporary Road Closure to Facilitate a New Water Connection
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE HIGH STREET, MELBOURNE
WHEN: 08 September 2025 (08:00 to 18:00).
WHERE: High Street, Melbourne from its jct. with Church Street for an approx. distance of 85m west.
REASON: To facilitate a new water connection.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Market Place, Derby Road, B587: Cockshut Lane / Robinsons Hill, Ashby Road and vice versa. Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road.
The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.

The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
