Merton - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Works

3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. An alternative route for diverted vehicular traffic would be via West Barnes Lane, Claremont Avenue, Burlington Road and West Barnes Lane, or vice versa.

5. Pedestrians affected by the road closure should proceed using Station Road, the Motspur Park pedestrian bridge (public right of way No. 130) and Claremont Avenue.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal of the Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. Nothing in the Order would apply: -

(a) to any person carrying out the works or any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or

(d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the length of road specified in paragraph 2 above, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the works.

8. The Order would come into operation at 12.30am on Friday 12th September 2025 and remain in force until 5am the same day.

SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(THE BROADWAY, SW19)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate duct works in The Broadway, SW19; they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works, no person would:–

(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in The Broadway, the length of eastbound carriageway which lies between Nos. 52 and 54 The Broadway to a point 3 metres west of the common boundary of Nos. 66 and 68 The Broadway and generally to the north of the of the island site at its junction with Gladstone Road; or

(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above.

3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via Gladstone Road, Kingston Road and Merton Road.

5. Nothing in the Order would apply:–

(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. The Order would come into operation on Monday 15th September 2025 and it is anticipated that the works would be completed on Thursday 18th September 2025. However, the Order would remain in force for a period of 3 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(CHURCH PLACE, CR4)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate new water connection works in Church Place, CR4, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works no person would:–

(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Church Place, between its junction with Church Road and the common boundary of Nos. 10 and 12 Church Place; or

(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle, in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above.

3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via Love Lane, Frimley Gardens, Miles Road and Church Road or vice-versa.

5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: –

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. The Order would come into force on Monday 15th September 2025 and it is anticipated that the works would be completed on Wednesday 17th September 2025. However, the Order would remain in operation for 3 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(LYNDHURST AVENUE, SW16)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate telecommunication works in Lyndhurst Avenue, SW16, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to: –

(a) enter or proceed in Lyndhurst Avenue, from its junction with Northborough Road to the common boundary of Nos. 67 and 69 Lyndhurst Avenue; or

(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.

3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Nothing in the Order would apply: –

(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or

(d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the roads or lengths of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the works.

5. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via Stanford Road, Rowan Road and Northborough Road or vice-versa.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. The Order would come into operation on Wednesday 17th September 2025 and it is anticipated the works would be carried out from 10am to 5pm that day. However, the Order would remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(SOMERSET ROAD, SW19)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 4) ORDER 2025

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate Thames Water works in Somerset Road, SW19, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:–

(a) enter or proceed in Somerset Road, from the common boundary of Nos. 46 and 48 Somerset Road, eastward to the eastern boundary of No. 50 Somerset Road;

(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading, in the street or length of street specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.

3. The restrictions and suspensions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Nothing in the Order would apply to: –

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
