Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 21st August 2025:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS OLNEY, WOLVERTON AND WAVENDON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2205)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following lengths of road. The closures are necessary to enable Anglian Water to undertake maintenance works within the carriageway.
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily close:
Church Street, Wolverton (its access road) – From its junction with Stratford Road to its junction with Church Street.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Church Street, Windsor Street and Stratford Road (and vice versa).
The closure will be in effect on 22nd September 2025 (between 8:00am and 5:00pm);
Newport Road, Wavendon – Its slip road entrance to the BP Fuel Station
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Newport Road and A421 Standing Way.
The closure will be in effect on 2nd to 3rd September 2025 (overnight between 8:00pm and 6:00am);
Western Road, Wolverton (its access road) – From its junction with Western Road to its junction with Furze Way.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Western Road, Windsor Street and Furze Way (and vice versa).
The closure will be in effect between 2nd and 4th September 2025 (between 8:00am and 5:00pm);
Western Road, Wolverton (its access road) – From its junction with Western Road to its junction with Furze Way.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Western Road, Windsor Street and Furze Way (and vice versa).
The closure will be in effect between 2nd and 4th September 2025 (between 8:00am and 5:00pm);
Weston Road, Olney – From its junction with Dagnall Road to its junction with Spinney Hill Road.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via High Street, Yardley Road and Aspreys (and vice versa).
The closure will be in effect between 15th and 17th September 2025 (between 8:00am and 5:00pm)
PUBLIC NOTICE 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS MILTON KEYNES, TOUR OF BRITAIN, MILTON KEYNES – AMPTHILL STAGE 2025) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2236)
The closure is necessary to enable the tour of Britain cycling event’s Milton Keynes to Ampthill Stage to be undertaken safely.
The closures will be in effect on 4th September 2025.
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily close the following lengths of road:
(5:00am – 2:00pm)
Midsummer Boulevard, Central Milton Keynes – From a point level with Lower Twelfth Street to its junction with Marlborough Gate.
(09:00am – 1:00pm)
Marlborough Gate, Central Milton Keynes (northbound carriageway) – From its junction with Avebury Boulevard to its junction with Midsummer Boulevard.
The following roads will have rolling closures whilst the cyclists pass through and be reopened once the last cyclist passes through:
Marlborough Gate – from its junction with Midsummer Boulevard to its junction with Silbury Boulevard.
Silbury Boulevard – from its junction with Marlborough Gate to its junction with Overgate.
Overgate – from its junction with Silbury Boulvard to its junction with Childs Way.
Childs Way – from its junction with Overgate to its junction with Marlborough Street.
Marlborough Street – from its junction with Childs Way to its junction Chaffron Way
Chaffron Way – from its junction with Marlborough Street to Brickhill Street
Brickhill Street – from its junction with Chaffron Way to its junction with Station Road
Station Road/Woburn Sands Road/Bow Brickhill Road/The Leys/Hardwick Road – from its junction with Brickhill Street to its junction with High Street (Woburn Sands).
High Street (Woburn Sands) – from its junction with Harwick Road to the city boundary.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 19th August 2025, made the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 3:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (DENBIGH HALL DRIVE, BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2229)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily close Denbigh Hall Drive, Bletchley (its southbound carriageway) from its junction with Standing Way to its junction with Denbigh Hall.
The closure is necessary to enable Conerstone Telecommunications Infrastructure to undertake various telecoms works safely.
The closure will be in effect between 26th August 2025 – 10th September 2025 and then 30th September – 5th October 2025 (overnight 8:00pm – 06:00am).
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Standing Way, Buckingham Road and Whaddon Way.

Public Notices for Permanent Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 21st August 2025:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF MILTON KEYNES) (VARIOUS ROADS, EMBERTON) (CONSOLIDATION OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2022) VARIATION ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3) and 4(2), and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order.
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to alter the existing no waiting at any time restrictions on High Street, Emberton.
Milton Keynes City Council is now carrying out statutory consultation on the above proposal. Copies of the proposed Order, together with plans showing the general arrangements and a statement of reason, may be inspected on the Council’s website at:

Any representations or objections to the proposal, together with the grounds upon which they are made, must be made in writing and sent to the Council’s Traffic Regulation Order Team at Milton Keynes City Council, Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, Central Milton Keynes, MK9 3EJ, or by email to

quoting reference TRO-449 and to be received no later than 11th September 2025. Any representations received will be taken into consideration before the implementation of the scheme.
