What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY BRIDLEWAY CLOSURE
PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY NO.20 (PART)
NEW MILLS

WHEN: 11 September 2025 to 5 March 2026.
WHERE: Close New Mills Bridleway No.20 for approx. 136m from the eastern end of the bridleway to the ford.
REASON: To facilitate public safety due to damaged surface.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: No alternative route is recommended.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of bridleway. The bridleway will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire 01629 533190.
The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
