NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 21 August 2025 Sheffield City Council made the above Orders which come into operation on 28 August 2025 under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce:
One Way Traffic (southbound) on Rockingham Street between its junction with Division Lane and Wellington Street
Loading Bay 05:00 - 20:30 on parts of West Street
No waiting and no loading at any time on parts of West Street and Rockingham Street
Taxi Rank 20:30 – 05:00 on parts of West Street
No stopping at any time except taxis 20:30 – 05:00 on parts of Rockingham Street
And remove:
Taxi Rank 18:30-05:00 on parts of West Street
Taxi Rank 18:30-03:00 on part of Rockingham Street
Taxi Rank 20:30-08:00 on part of West Street
No waiting 08:00-20:30 on parts of West Street
No waiting and no loading at any time on parts of West Street
Pay & display parking 08:00-18:30 on part of Rockingham Street
Pay & display parking 08:00-20:30 on part of Rockingham Street
One Way Traffic (northbound) on Rockingham Street between its junction with Division Lane and West Street

Between 28 August 2025 and 28 February 2026.
Copies of the proposed Order, plans showing the roads concerned and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may also be examined during normal opening hours at First Point Reception, Howden House, 1 Union Street, Sheffield, S1 2SH
The City Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the Experimental Order should be continued in force indefinitely. Any person wishing to object to the making of an Order for such indefinite continuation may do so, giving the grounds for the objection, in writing, to The Director of City Growth, at the address given below within a period of six months from the 28 August 2025.
Any alterations to this Order which will render it less restrictive may be authorised by the Head of Strategic Transport, Sustainability and Infrastructure without the requirement to re-advertise the Order under Section 10(2) of the said Act, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the enabling Act or that a requirement of the enabling Act or any of the relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within six weeks of 28 August 2025, make application for that purpose to the High Court.
