Binsted Footpath 38 - Diversion of footpath due to works

What is happening?

On 07 August 2025 Hampshire County Council confirmed these Orders made under sections 118A and 119A of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to: divert that part of Binsted Footpath 38 which commences at SU 7923 4306 and proceeds in a north-easterly direction along the southern side of Bentley Station platform to a junction with the diverted route of Footpath 44 at SU 7925 4308;   divert that part of Binsted Footpath 44 which commences at SU 7927 4309 and proceeds in a south-westerly direction to a junction with the diverted route of Footpath 38 at SU 7925 4308, continuing north-westwards across the railway line to SU 7924 4309, then generally westwards through a pedestrian gate and through Bentley Station car park to SU 7919 4308, continuing north-westwards to a junction with Station Road at SU 7918 4309.  Extinguish that part of Binsted Footpath 55 which commences at a junction with Footpath 44 at SU 7935 4312 and proceeds in a north-easterly direction though an area of woodland, crossing the railway line and continuing through woodland to a junction with Footpaths 38 and 56 at SU 7927 4319. as described in the Schedules to the orders.
