NOTICE OF MAKING OF AN ORDER

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025

Footpath 33 High Ongar IN THE District of Epping Forest and footpath 11 Blackmore in the Borough of Brentwood

The above order, made on 31 July 2025, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will as shown on the order map, divert a part length of Footpath 33 in the Parish of High Ongar commencing from a point at grid reference 55925,20185 postcode CM4 0JY at the field edge approximately 325 metres west of Blackmore Hook End and Wyatts Green Parish Boundary proceeding in a general westward direction across the field to a point at the same field edge where it then heads south-westward between the new housing development and through the industrial yard to its junction with Bridleway 16 High Ongar/access track to Nine Ashes Road, to an alternative route commencing from the aforementioned point west of Blackmore Hook End and Wyatts Green Parish Boundary proceeding in a south westward direction across the field to connect with Bridleway 16 High Ongar south eastward of its original connection point.

The order will also divert a part length of Footpath 11 Blackmore commencing from a point at grid reference 55990,20167 at the field edge close to its junction with Bridleway 32 at west of Blackmore Road, proceeding generally westward across the field to its connection with Footpath 33 High Ongar on the western side of the ditch, to an alternative route commencing from the aforementioned point west of Blackmore Road proceeding in a general south-westward direction at the field edge to cross the culvert where it then continues northward to connect at the aforementioned point with Footpath 33 High Ongar.

A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map can be requested to be posted or viewed by emailing publicpathorders@essexhighways.org to arrange a suitable time to view the document quoting the order title.

The document can be made available for inspection from

8:30am-4:30pm Mon-Fri at Essex County Council, County Hall, E block main reception, Market Road, Chelmsford CM1 1QH. A copy is also available on the Essex Highways website at: www.essexhighways.org/public-path-notices

and has also been sent to High Ongar, Blackmore, Hook End and Wyatts Green Parish, Epping Forest District and Brentwood Borough Councils.

Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to Andrew Ritchings, Definitive Map Service, Essex County Council, Seax House, 2nd Floor, Victoria Road South, Chelmsford CM1 1QH no later than 11 September 2025. Please state the grounds on which they are made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Essex County Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If an order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent together with the order. Any such representations or objections will be taken into account by the Council with the result that they may be made available to the public under the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985.
