Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Due To Underground Cabling Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U80335, U80333 & U80334, Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U80335, U80333 & U80334, Hereford.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Coningsby Street/ Catherine Street onto Widemarsh Street onto Blueschool Street onto Commercial Road.

The said closures are required due to underground cabling works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 8th of September 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 night.
