What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (SHAW ROAD SOUTH, CALE GREEN) (REVOCATION) NOTICE 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Road Traffic Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004, which came into operation on 13 August 2025.
The effect of which has revoked the existing Traffic Regulation Order Residents Permit Holders Only Mon - Sat 8am - 10pm on Shaw Road South, Cale Green. North West Side from a point 15m north east of the intersection of the north eastern kerbline of Adswood Road for a distance of 177 metres in a north easterly direction.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or the Road Traffic Act 1991, or that a requirement of the Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
