Queens Road And Princes Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Driving
What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT
(QUEENS ROAD AND PRINCES ROAD, BREDBURY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) NOTICE 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which will be to introduce a Temporary Prohibition of Driving at Queens Road, Bredbury from the junction of Higher Bents Lane in a north easterly direction for approx. 80m, and Princes Road, Bredbury from the junction of Queens Road in an easterly direction for approx. 40m, whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said roads. This Order is necessary to enable works to replace gas mains to take place. It is estimated these works will last 11 days. A diversion will be provided via Higher Bents Lane, Berrycroft Lane, Ruskin Grove, Bank Road, and vice versa. This Notice does not apply to pedestrians.
This Order is to come into operation on the 20 October 2025 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
