What is happening?

HYSBYSIR DRWY HYN bod CYNGOR SIR FYNWY, Neuadd y Sir, y Rhadyr, Brynbuga, NP15 1GA ("y Cyngor") yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn yn unol â'r pwerau a roddwyd gan Adran 14(1)(a) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984:   Daeth y Gorchymyn i rym ar 26ain Awst 2025 a bydd yn parhau i fod mewn grym am gyfnod nad yw'n hwy na 18 mis neu nes bod y gwaith y cynigir ei wneud wedi'i gwblhau, pa un bynnag yw'r cynharaf. Rhagwelwyd bod y gwaith yn cael ei gwblhau rhwng 26ain Awst 2025 a’r 5ed Medi 2025, gan weithio rhwng xx:xx – xx:xx.  
Roedd angen y Gorchymyn  er mwyn i MJ Quinn wneud gwaith mewn modd diogel yn y lleoliad.   Cedwir mynediad rhesymol ar gyfer eiddo sydd ar hyd y ffyrdd a effeithir arnynt tra y bydd yr heol ar gau.  
Effaith y Gorchymyn oedd cau dros dro rhan o Heol Cwm-iou, Cwm-iou, Sir Fynwy, ~315m o’r gyffordd gyda’r R1 Brynarw i Goedwig Llanddewi Nant Honddu am ~392m.    
fel a ganlyn: R1 Brynarw i Goedwig Llanddewi Nant Honddu, Heol Cwm-iou ac i’r gwrthwyneb.   Gellir enwi'r Gorchymyn hwn fel Gorchymyn Rheoleiddio Traffig Dros Dro Heol Cwm-iou, Cwm-iou, Sir Fynwy 2025.   Yn sgil Adran 16(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffordd 1984 bydd person sy'n torri cyfyngiad neu waharddiad a osodir dan Adran 14 y Ddeddf yn euog o drosedd.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL of County Hall, The Rhadyr, Usk, NP15 1GA (“the Council”) Intends to make an order pursuant to the powers conferred by Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984  
The Order came into operation on the 26th August 2025 and will continue to be in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be completed between 26th August 2025 and 5th September 2025.  
The order is necessary for MJ Quinn works to take place in a safe manner at the location. Reasonable access will be maintained for properties fronting the affected lengths of road during the period of the closure.  
The effect of the order will be to temporarily close a section of Cwmyoy Road, Cwmyoy, Monmouthshire, ~315m from its junction with R1 Brynarw to Llanthony Wood for ~392m.  
A signed diversionary route will be in place as follows:- R1 Brynarw to Llanthony Wood, Cwmyoy Road and vice versa.   This order may be cited as the Cwmyoy Road, Cwmyoy, Monmouthshire Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2025  
By virtue of Section 16(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 a person who contravenes a restriction or prohibition imposed under Section 14 of the Act shall be guilty of an offence.
