(DWR Y FELIN ROAD , NEATH) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council intend in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding along the length of road set out in the Schedule below whilst the Order is in force. During such periods as are indicated by traffic signs informing the public that the road is closed.
The Order is necessary to enable Network Rail to carry out essential railway bridge maintenance works in the road.
The Order will come into force on the 2nd September 2025 and shall continue in force for a maximum duration of 18 months, or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner.
It is anticipated that the works will take place over 2 nights: between the hours of 8pm to 6am on 2nd - 3rd September and from 11pm to 6am on 29th -30th September 2025.
SCHEDULE
Dwr y Felin Road will be closed from a point situated approximately 100m south of its junction with Twyn Teg for a distance of approximately 40m along its length in a southerly direction.
The alternative route for vehicles will be via the unaffected section of Dwr y felin Road, Cloda Avenue, T’yn Yr Heol, Main Road, Penywern Road and Cadoxton Road.
Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
