Footpath 41 And Fooptath 46 Hazel Grove And Bramhall - Temporary Closure For Works To Repair The Path
What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT
(FOOTPATH 41 AND FOOPTATH 46 HAZEL GROVE AND BRAMHALL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) NOTICE 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which will be to introduce a Temporary Closure and diversion of Footpath 41 and Footpath 46 Hazel Grove and Bramhall, between Womanscroft Bridge and the stepping stones across the Ladybrook, whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said footpaths. This Order is necessary to allow for works to repair the path. It is estimated that the maximum duration of the works will be 6 months. The following diversions will be provided: Diversion of Footpath 41 HGB: crossing Womanscroft Bridge to the south of the Ladybrook, then east to the stepping stones. Diversion of Footpath 46 HGB: via Bridge Lane and Headlands Road. This Order is to come into operation on 29 August 2025 and will have effect for six months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
