ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Oxford, Bodley Road

Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting

Date of Order: 4 August 2025

Coming into force: 11 August 2025

This Order is being introduced because of carriageway restructuring works which are anticipated to be completed 22 August 2025. This is a 24 hour road closure.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in part of Bodley Road between Addison Drive and Herschel Crescent. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians. The alternative route for traffic is via Addison Drive, Cowley Road, Long Lane, Sheldon Way and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T15974/AC)

This Order is being introduced because of carriageway restructuring works which are anticipated to be completed 29 August 2025. This is a 24 hour road closure.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting on Addison Drive. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians. The alternative route for traffic is via Cowley Road, Long Lane, Sheldon Way.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T15975/AC)

Oxford, A4158 Iffley Road Side Roads

Traffic Management

Date of Order: 11 August 2025

Coming into force: 18 August 2025

This Order is being introduced because of junction improvements including raised tables, improved pedestrian and cycle facilities and pedestrian crossings which is anticipated to be completed within 4 months.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles proceeding or waiting in the junctions with various side road off Iffley Road and Rose Hill. Some locations will require road closures subject to progress of the works. The street names: Iffley Road, Westbury Crescent, Cornwallis Road, Courtland Road, and Radcliffe Road. The side roads will be closed in phases and will be signed accordingly. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians. The alternative route for traffic will be signed locally.

Oxford, A4165 Banbury Road Side Roads

Temporary traffic management

Date of Order: 11 August 2025

Coming into force: 18 August 2025

This Order is being introduced because of junction improvements including installation of raised tables, improved pedestrian and cycle facilities and pedestrian crossings which are anticipated to be completed within 4 months.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles proceeding or waiting in the junctions with various side road off Banbury Road. Some locations will require road closures subject to progress of the works. The Cycle Lane in the Banbury Road will also be affected at the junctions. Street Name: Linton Road, Norham Road, St Margaret’s Road, Belbroughton Road, Bevington Road, Rawlinson Road. The side roads will be closed in phases and will be signed accordingly. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians. The alternative route for closures will be signed locally using the next parallel streets.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T15875/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Oxford, Windmill Road

Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting

Date of Order: 11 August 2025

Coming into force: 18 August 2025

This Order is being introduced because of resurfacing and re-lining works which are anticipated to be completed 5 September 2025. This will operate between 20:00 and 06:00hrs.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in the whole length of Windmill Road from London Road to Old Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via the A420 London Road, Gipsy Lane, Old Road and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16051/AC)
