What is happening?
GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY CLOSURE C359 SANIGAR LANE (HINTON PARISH) (BERKELEY TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C359 Sanigar Lane Road from its junction with Berkeley Bypass to outside of the property known as ‘No. 1 Sanigar Lane’ for a distance of approximately 800 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for safety whilst a bridge is inspected.
The said road is expected to be closed from 21:00hrs on 18th August 2025 to 05:00hrs on 19th August 2025 or until the said works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS (VARIOUS PARISHES), STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the lengths of road as detailed in the Schedule below.

There will be no waiting or loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.
The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted, during various times, on a rolling programme, commencing 1st September 2025 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the said closures are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said works. This Order may permit the said closures in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all of the said works will be completed by 31st March 2026.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE B4060 WICKWAR ROAD (KINGSWOOD PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the B4060 Wickwar Road from its junction with ‘the Road to Day House Farm’ to outside of the property known as ‘Highwood Poultry Farm’ for a distance of approximately 324 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for safety during pole testing.
The said road is expected to be closed between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs on 2nd September 2025 only or until the said works have been completed.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE B4058 OLD TOWN (WOTTON UNDER EDGE TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the B4058 Old Town from outside the property known as ‘Number 39’ to outside the property known as ‘Number 11a’ for a distance of approximately 150 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for infrastructure maintenance works.
The said road is expected to be closed between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs on 1st September 2025 only or until the said works have been completed.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH CCO 17 (COALEY PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT
NOTICE is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has further extended the Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of Public Footpath CCO 17 from north-east of Westfield Farm extending in a generally south-south-easterly then south-easterly direction to a point south-east of Westfield Farm for approximately 80 metres.
The closure is necessary to undertake works to a rail crossing which has been identified as unsafe by Network Rail.
This temporary closure Order came into force on the 6th September 2017 and with approval from the Secretary of State was subsequently extended to 24th August 2025. However, the works have still not been completed, the Secretary of State has therefore granted a further extension until
24th February 2027 or until the works are complete, whichever is earliest.
