What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
MARTIN LANE, MILLINGTON

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
Martin Lane, Millington between the junction of Main
Street to approximately 50 metres North commencing
10 September 2025 at 09.30am to provide a safe
working area for engineers to access an underground
structure in order to provide fibre underground cabling.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months,
but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by
11 September 2025 at 15.30 hours.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via Martin Lane, Swineridge Lane,
Church Lane, Main Street and vice versa.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access
will be maintained for emergency vehicles, residents
and pedestrians. Further information can be obtained
