What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Copper Street) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary
Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.146) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991
The Order comes into operation from 3rd September 2025 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
COPPER STREET
Between its junctions with Gold Street and
Nickel Street.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate Openreach works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 3rd September 2025 to 9th September 2025 or completion of the works, whichever is
sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Gold Street, Stone Street, Copper Street. Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
