What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY
SPEED RESTRICTIONS
MAIN STREET/ YORK ROAD, FRIDAYTHORPE
AND YORK ROAD, BISHOP WILTON

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle
to proceed at a speed in excess of 20 mph whilst
appropriate temporary signage is in place between the
junctions of Back Street, Fridaythorpe and Fridaythorpe
Road, Huggate commencing 8 September 2025 at
19.00 hours to allow for the safe passage of vehicles
through the works. The speed restriction will be
operative between 19.00 hours and 05.00 hours.
The speed restriction is necessary to enable the works
to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring
the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
completed by 12 September 2025 at 05.00 hours.
