THE M6 MOTORWAY (JUNCTIONS 3435 NORTHBOUND AND SOUTHBOUND CARRIAGEWAYS)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 09346363) has intends to make an Order on the M6 Motorway, in the City of Lancaster, in the County of Lancashire, to enable barrier works and other general maintenance; to be carried out in safety. The Order will impose a 50 mph speed limit on the northbound and southbound carriageway of the M6 Motorway, from a point 750 metres south of the Foundry Lane Bridge, to a point 800 metres north of the Foundry Lane Bridge.
The restriction is expected to be in place during a continuous period, subject to traffic signs, starting at 20:00 on Monday 22 September 2025 and ending at 06:00 Friday 21 November 2025.
However, works may start and continue between the same times on subsequent continuous periods, until completed.
The restrictions will not apply to emergency services or special-forces vehicles, and the restriction will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs. The Order comes into force on
