Wiltshire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) Whitsbury Road (Part), Odstock: from its junction with Odstock Road for a distance of approximately 1km in a southerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out tree and associated works. Alternative route via Whitsbury Road (unaffected length) – Nunton Drive – Odstock Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 September 2025 and the closure will be required until 11 September 2025. For further information please contact Traffic Management Company on 01202 922323.

B) C64 (Part), Dinton: from its junction with B3089 to its junction with Snow Hill to enable Wessex Internet to carry out ducting and associated works. Alternative route via C64 (unaffected length) – C277 – B3089 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 September 2025 and the closure will be required for 5 days. C) C296 (Part), West Tisbury: from its junction with C309 to its junction with C43 to enable Openreach to carry out pole and associated works. Alternative route via C43 – C62 – C309 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 1 day. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

D) Baverstock Lane (Part), Dinton: from its property known as Gardeners Cottage to its property known as Baverstock Farm to enable Wessex Water to carry out new connection and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 19 August 2025 and the closure will be required for 3 days. E) Bouverie Avenue South (Part), Salisbury: from its property known as No.155 Bouverie Avenue South to its property known as No.143 Bouverie Avenue South to enable Wessex Water to carry out new connection and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 18 August 2025 and the closure will be required until 20 August 2025. F) Russell Street (Part), Wilton: from its junction with North Street for a distance of approximately 100m in an easterly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out sewer pipe replacement and associated works. Alternative route via Russell Street (unaffected length) – Pennys Lane – Market Place – North Street and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 18 August 2025 and the closure will be required until 29 August 2025. For further information please contact Wessex Water on 0345 6004600.

F) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
