What is happening?
EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
The East Sussex (U7521 Post Horn Lane, Forest Row)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Post Horn Lane – for its full length.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 19 August 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 19 August 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C401 Grinstead Lane, Forest Row)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure Grinstead Lane – from the junction with C469 Legsheath Lane to the junction with C2 Plawhatch Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C2 Plawhatch Lane – C469 Legsheath Lane and vice versa. The Order commences 1 September 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 1 September 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7546 Scrag Oak Lane, Wadhurst)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow Network Rail to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure Scrag Oak Lane – from the junction with U7546 Buttons Lane to the junction with U7548 Brinkers Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7548 Brinkers Lane, Darbys Lane – B2099 Ticehurst Road – C214 Stonegate Road – U7546 Churchsettle Lane, Buttons Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 4 September 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 4 and 5 September 2025 depending upon the weather conditions. If you require further information telephone Network Management on 0345 60 80 193.
