Tonbridge and Malling, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

A229 Blue Bell Hill, Bluebell Hill (TEMPORARY 40MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily restrict through traffic on part of A229 Blue Bell Hill, Bluebell Hill on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 147 days or until the works have been completed.

A229 Blue Bell Hill will have a mandatory 40MPH speed limit imposed. The restriction will be imposed Northbound and Southbound between the Running Horse Roundabout and Bridgewood Roundabout. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

 

Hatham Green Lane, Stansted (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hatham Green Lane, Stansted, on or after 25th August 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Crab Dene. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Plaxdale Green Road, Labour In Vain Road, A20 London Road, Ash Lane and vice versa.

 

Havelock Road, Tonbridge, TN9 1JE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Havelock Road, Tonbridge, on or after 27th August 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 19, between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lansdowne Road, Lodge Road, The Avenue and vice versa.

 

New Road, East Malling, ME19 6EJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow carriageway maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of New Road, East Malling, on or after 14th September 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with A20 London Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via London Road, Winterfield Lane, Chapman Way and New Road.

 

Oldbury Lane, Ightham, TN15 9AQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new electricity supply connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Oldbury Lane, Ightham, on or after 25th August 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Old Bury Lodge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Oldbury Lane, A25 Ightham Bypass, Spring Lane, Oldbury Lane and vice versa.

 

Pilgrims Way, Wouldham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF NO ENTRY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow carriageway patching works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way, Wouldham, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.

Pilgrims Way will be closed in two phases between the junction with Wouldham Road and the junction with Knowle Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Phase 1 - Pilgrims Way will be closed from the junction of Wouldham Road to the junction of School Lane.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wouldham Road, Rochester Road, High Street, School Lane and vice versa.

Phase 2 - Pilgrims Way will be closed from the junction of School Lane to the junction of Knowle Road.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via School Lane, High Street, Knowle Road and vice versa.

The No Entry to High Street will be suspended to allow for diversion.

 

Roughway Lane, Plaxtol, TN11 9SH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water asset repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Roughway Lane, Plaxtol, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Kentish Rifleman Public House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Roughway Lane, The Hurst, Oxenhoath Road, Hamptons Road, Dunks Green Road and vice versa.

 

St Peters Road, Ditton, ME20 6PJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Peters Road, Ditton, on or after 10th September 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of St Peter’s Court, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via New Road, A20 London Road, Bradbourne Lane, St Peters Road and vice versa.

 

West Street, Wrotham, TN15 7AB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of West Street, Wrotham, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Old School House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Street, Old London Road, Pilgrims Way, Blacksole Road, West Street and vice versa.

 

Willow Lea, Tonbridge, TN10 3RF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new electricity service works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Willow Lea, Tonbridge, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 17. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Willow Lea, Elmshurst Gardens, Willow Lea and vice versa.

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TONBRIDGE AND MALLING AREA

Willow Wents, Mereworth, ME18 5NE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow electric connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Willow Wents, Mereworth, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside property Baron’s Place. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2016 Seven Mile Lane, Beech Road, New Pound Lane and vice versa.
