Thanet, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

HIGHWAYS

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

THANET AREA

Addington Road, Margate, CT9 1RB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Addington Road, Margate, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Victoria Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Addington Road, Addington Street, Dane Road, Victoria Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Clements Road, Ramsgate, CT12 6UF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Clements Road, Ramsgate, on or after 26th August 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of A254 Margate Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Clements Road, Pysons Road, A254 Margate Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Market Place, Margate (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Market Place, Margate, on or after 26th August 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 7, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Reading Street, Broadstairs, CT10 3BE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Reading Street, Broadstairs, on or after 27th August 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed opposite number 48, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Reading Street, Callis Court Road, Grange Road, Beacon Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

South Eastern Road, Ramsgate, CT11 9TA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of South Eastern Road, Ramsgate, on or after 26th August 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 59, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Crescent Road, Grange Road, South Eastern Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Tothill Street, Minster, CT12 4AG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tothill Street, Minster, on or after 28th August 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Monkton Road and High Street, between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Monkton Road, Monkton Street, Willetts Hill, A299 Canterbury Road West, Tothill Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Westbrook Avenue, Margate, CT9 5DF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Westbrook Avenue, Margate, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 19 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Rancorn Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via Rancorn Road, Westbrook Avenue, A28 Canterbury Road, St Mildreds Road, Westgate Bay Avenue and Westbrook Avenue.

The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via Westbrook Avenue, Westgate Bay Avenue, St Mildreds Road and A28 Canterbury Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
