What is happening?

OXFORD: A4158 ROSE HILL – PROPOSED TRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES
AT SERVICE ROAD JUNCTIONS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & the Highways Act 1980 (section 90) proposes to construct the following traffic calming features in Oxford, which are being put forward in order to improve safety for ‘active travel’ users at priority junctions:
• A4158 Rose Hill at its junctions with the service road for property Nos 2-38) – standard ‘Side Road Entry Treatments’ (SRET) consisting of Rhino’s pattern imprinted asphalt, with approx. 4m long flat raised table, to be 100mm high with 1:8 gradient ramps. Reduced kerb radius, and tactile paving to also be located at the junctions.
* All dimensions are approximate, with details (including materials) to be confirmed as part of the final design process should approval be given.

Objections to the proposals and other representations specifying the grounds on which they are made may be sent in writing to the address below (or via the web site) by no later than 12 September 2025. The County Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public. (A40 LONDON ROAD, HOLTON & WHEATLEY)
(PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 20**
NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the Order for road safety reasons is to close the (currently gated) crossover gap in the central reservation of the A40 London Road dual carriageway, which serves the junction with the B4027 Wheatley Road to Forest Hill.
