NOTICE – THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL

D7011 Wesley Drive, Egham Proposed 20 mph Speed Limit Zone

Surrey County Council propose to make “The Surrey County Council D7011 Wesley Drive, Egham (20 mph Speed Limit Zone) Order 202-”, under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to impose a 20mph speed limit on the entire lengths of the roads in Egham specified in the First Schedule to this Notice, that will be signed as a 20mph Zone. The speed limits proposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011.

Proposed Provision of a Raised Zebra Crossing in D7011 Wesley Drive, Egham

Notice is hereby given that Surrey County Council, in exercise of their powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Section 90(A) to (I) inclusive of the Highways Act 1980, and after consultation with the Chief Office of Police in accordance with Section 23(2)(A) of the said Act of 1984, propose to introduce a raised zebra crossing in D7011 Wesley Drive, Egham The centre of the proposed Zebra Crossing is to be located 12.05m north-east of the centreline of the access to “Manorcroft Primary School”. The width of the proposed zebra crossing is 3.2m and the width of the carriageway is 7.35m.The centre of the proposed 4m flat top road table which will extend across the full width of the carriageway and rise to a height of 75mm, with 1.5m ramps at a gradient of 1:20 is to be located 12.05m north-east of the centreline of the access to the school.

A copy of this Notice together with a plan showing the lengths of road to which the proposals relate and a Statement of the Council’s reasons for making the proposals may be viewed online at www. surreycc.gov.uk/roads-and-transport/policies-plans-consultations/ roads-and-transport-consultations. These documents, and a copy of the proposed Order may also be viewed in person during normal opening hours at: – 1) Runnymede Borough Council, Civic Centre, Station Road, Addlestone, Surrey KT15 2AH; 2) Egham Library, High Street, Egham, Surrey, TW20 9EA; and 3) Surrey County Council, Hazel House, Merrow Lane, Guildford, Surrey GU4 7BQ. If you wish to object to, or make representations about, the proposals, or any part, including any in support, you must send them in writing, stating the grounds on which they are made, a) using the online forms via the webpage quoted above; or b) to the undersigned, at Traffic Regulation Orders Team, Hazel House, Merrow Lane, Guildford, Surrey, GU4 7BQ, by 12 September 2025.
