Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREA
A20 Ashford Road, Bearsted, ME15 8PL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A20 Ashford Road, Bearsted, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Paydens Pharmacy. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A20 Ashford Road, Cavendish Way and vice versa.
B2010 Smiths Hill, West Farleigh, ME15 0PQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2010 Smiths Hill, West Farleigh, on or after 14th September 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named The Cottage, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

B2079 Goudhurst Road, Marden, TN12 9NJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pumping station maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2079 Goudhurst Road, Marden, on or after 26th August 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the pumping station, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Bower Mount Road, Maidstone, ME16 8AJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bower Mount Road, Maidstone, on or after 26th August 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the Methodist Church. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bower Mount Road, Oakwood Road, A26 Tonbridge Road and vice versa.
Buckland Hill & Buckland Road, Maidstone, ME16 0SQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF NO RIGHT TURN) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of Buckland Hill & Buckland Road, Maidstone, on or after 27th August 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
Buckland Hill will be closed between the junction with A20 London Road and junction with St Peters Street. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The No Right Turn at the junction with A20 London Road will be suspended to allow access.
Buckland Road will be closed at the junction with Buckland Hill. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via A20 London Road, A20 The Broadway and St Peters Street.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via St Peters Street, A229 St Peters Bridge, A229 Fairmeadow, A229 The Broadway, A20 The Broadway, A20 Tonbridge Road, A20 Terrace Road and A20 London Road.
Dean Street, East Farleigh, ME15 0PT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole testing and tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dean Street, East Farleigh, on or after 31st August 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Horseshoes Public House, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dean Street, B2010 Lower Road, B2163 Ewell Lane, B2163 Heath Road, Dean Street and vice versa.
Farleigh Lane & Glebe Lane, Barming, ME16 9EJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of Farleigh Lane & Glebe Lane, Barming, on or after 26th August 2025 for up to 42 days or until the works have been completed.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via A26 Tonbridge Road, A20 Terrace Road, A20 London Road, A20 The Broadway, A229 St Peters Bridge, A229 Fairmeadow, A229 Bishops Way, A229 Palace Avenue, A229 Lower Stone Street, A229 Upper Stone Street, A229 Sheals Crescent, Old Tovil Road, B2010 Tovil Road, B2010 Tovil Hill, B2010 Farleigh Hill, B2010 Dean Street, B2010 Lower Road, Station Hill, Farleigh Bridge and Farleigh Lane.
The alternative Route for any Northbound traffic is via Farleigh Lane, Farleigh Bridge, Station Hill, B2010 Lower Road, B2010 Dean Street, B2010 Farleigh Hill, B2010 Tovil Hill, B2010 Tovil Road, B2010 College Road, A229 College Road, A229 Mill Street, A229 Bishops Way, A20 The Broadway, A20 Tonbridge Road, A26 Tonbridge Road and Farleigh Lane.
Glebe Lane, Barming - 22nd September 2025 to 6th October 2025
Will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with A26 Tonbridge Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A26 Tonbridge Road, Farleigh Lane, Glebe Lane and vice versa.
Forge Lane, Bredhurst, ME7 3JY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Forge Lane, Bredhurst, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named The Lodge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dunn Street Road, Dunn Street, Lidsing Road, Forge Lane and vice versa.
Greenhill, Staplehurst, TN12 0PH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Greenhill, Staplehurst, on or after 28th August 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 23, between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
Headcorn Road, Platts Heath, ME17 2NY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Headcorn Road, Platts Heath, on or after 10th September 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 3. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lenham Road, Ulcombe Hill, The Street, Headcorn Road, Crumps Lane, Ulcombe Road, Lenham Road, Headcorn Road, Liverton Hill, Headcorn Road and vice versa.
Headcorn Road, Sandway, ME17 2NA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water asset repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Headcorn Road, Sandway, on or after 25th August 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Old Woodyard. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Headcorn Road, Lenham Road, Chegworth Road, A20 Ashford Road, East Street, Sandway Road and vice versa.
Hospital Road, Hollingbourne (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow underbridge inspection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hospital Road, Hollingbourne, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of M20 motorway bridge, between the hours of 09:30 and 12:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A20 Ashford Road, Greenway Court Road and vice versa.
Love Lane, Headcorn (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Love Lane, Headcorn, on or after 27th August 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Little East End Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Love Lane, Smarden Road, Love Lane and vice versa.
Plum Tree Lane, Stockbury (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Plum Tree Lane, Stockbury, on or after 29th August 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Plum Tree Farm, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Plum Tree Lane, West Wood Road, Hill Green Road and vice versa.
South Street, Barming, ME15 0LB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow bridge inspection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of South Street, Barming, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 1 night between the hours of 22:00 and 05:00 only.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the railway bridge, between the hours of 22:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.
Stede Hill, Harrietsham, ME17 1NR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow a new electric service to be installed, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stede Hill, Harrietsham, on or after 26th August 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Barn Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stede Hill, Pilgrims Way, Flint Lane, Stede Hill and vice versa.
Tattlebury Lane, Headcorn, TN27 9JU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new water service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tattlebury Lane, Headcorn, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

Tower Lane, Bearsted, ME14 4JU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water pipe works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tower Lane, Bearsted, on or after 26th August 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 30. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Tower Lane, Roseacre Lane, A20 Ashford Road, Yeoman Lane, Tower Lane and vice versa.
Week Street, Maidstone, ME14 1ED (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow for remedial works to Primark to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Week Street, Maidstone, on or after 14th September 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction of Union Street and the junction with Earl Street, between the hours of 18:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.
