Bradford Old Road, Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Due To Gas Works
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL BRADFORD OLD ROAD, COTTINGLEY TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of gas works to be executed on or near Bradford Old Road, Cottingley has made the above-named Order the effect of which is that no person shall proceed in the length of Bradford Old Road from its junction with Cottingley New Road to a point outside No.43 Bradford Old Road.
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on the said length of road. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the Order are available via Bradford Old Road (unaffected section), Cottingley New Road and vice versa.
The Order comes into operation at 08:00 hours on the 18th of August 2025 and remain in force until 17:00 hours on the 1st September 2025 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary). DATED this 14th day of August 2025
