Gravesham, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

HIGHWAYS

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

GRAVESHAM AREA

B261 Old Road West, Gravesend, DA12 1LR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B261 Old Road West, Gravesend, on or after 27th August 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 10.

The alternative route is via B261 Old Road West, Singlewell Road, Cross Lane West, A227 Wrotham Road and vice versa.

 

Thong Lane, Shorne, DA12 4AA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of a new water connection, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Thong Lane, Shorne, on or after 26th August 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Cheney’s Cottages.

The alternative route is via Darnley Lodge Lane, Halfpence Lane, Brewers Road, The Ridgeway, Pear Tree Lane, A226 Gravesend Road, A226 Rochester Road, Thong Lane and vice versa.
