Brighouse Road, Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Due To Water Works

What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL BRIGHOUSE ROAD, QUEENSBURY TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of water works proposed to be executed on or near Brighouse Road, Queensbury intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Brighouse Road from its junction with Sand Beds / High Street to a point outside the Gas Govenor in a south easterly direction.

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Sand Beds, Scarlet Heights, Highgate Road, Cooper Lane, Carr House Road, Witchfield Hill, Wade House Road, Halifax Road, Brighouse and Denholme Gate Road, Brighouse Road (unaffected section) and vice versa.

The proposed Order will come into effect at 07:00 hours on the 24th August 2025 and remain in force until 06:00 hours on the 25th August 2025 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
