Wellands Terrace, Temporary Prohibitions Due To Gas Works

What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL BACK WELLANDS TERRACE NORTH, BRADFORD TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of gas works proposed to be executed on or near Back Wellands Terrace North, Bradford intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Back Wellands Terrace North from a point outside the rear of No. 11 Wellands Terrace to a point outside the rear of No. 21 Wellands Terrace.

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Back Wellands Terrace North (unaffected section), Chelmsford Terrace and vice versa.

The proposed Order will come into effect at 09:00 hours on the 26th August 2025 and remain in force until 18:00 hours on the 4th September 2025 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
