What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(MOOR LANE, SYERSTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) CONTINUATION ORDER 2025 (N25-230b)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Syerston in the District of Newark and Sherwood

The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:

2. Moor Lane, Syerston - From a point 240 metres east of its junction with Hawksworth Road for a distance of 110 meters in an easterly direction

3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:

From 00:01 hours on Wednesday 20th August 2025.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:

None Available.

This Order will come into force on Wednesday 20th August 2025 and continues the restrictions introduced by the 21-day notice N25-230a which came into force on Wednesday 30th July 2025 for a maximum of 18 months.

The Prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands to Make safe and carry out necessary repairs after unauthorized works in the highway
