Footpath Nos 1 And 7 Hoar Cross Parish - Temporary Closure To Forestry Works
What is happening?
STAFFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – (AS AMENDED)
PUBLIC FOOTPATH NOS 1 AND 7 HOAR CROSS PARISH
TEMPORARY CLOSURE
Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along the following:
That length of Public Footpath No. 1 Hoar Cross Parish from it’s junction with Public Footpath No 8 Hoar Cross Parish to Brackenhurst Road.
That length of Public Footpath No. 7 Hoar Cross Parish from Brackenhurst Road to it’s junction with Public Footpath No. 1 Hoar Cross Parish.
The closure is required under the provision of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 Section 14 (1) (b) due to forestry works.
Alternative routes are available on site.
A plan will be displayed on site to show the length of path to be closed/unaffected rights of way in the area.
This Order will come into operation on 8/9/25 and will remain in force for a period of six months or until the risk of danger to the public is over, whichever is the earlier. If necessary, after six months, the Order may be extended for a further period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
