What is happening?
STAFFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – (AS AMENDED)
PUBLIC FOOTPATH NOS. 1, 2, 47 YOXALL PARISH TEMPORARY CLOSURE
Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along the following:
That length of Public Footpath No.1 from Lichfield-Sudbury Road to Roundhill Cottages, Beck’s Lane, Far Hoar Cross.
That length of Public Footpath No.2 from Roundhill Cottages, Beck’s Lane, Far Hoar Cross to Hazel Bank, Lichfield-Sudbury Road, opposite Lodge Lane.
That length of Public Footpath No.47 from Lichfield-Sudbury Road to Junction of Lodge Lane and Foxholes Lane.
The closure is required under the provision of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 Section 14 (1) (b) due to forestry works.
A plan will be displayed on site to show the length of path to be closed/ unaffected rights of way in the area.
No alternative route is available.
This Order will come into operation on 8/9/25 and will remain in force for a period of six months or until the risk of danger to the public is over, whichever is the earlier. If necessary, after six months, the Order may be extended for a further period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
