PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.26 HEATON PARISH AND NO. 48 LEEKFRITH PARISH
(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along the following lengths of Public Rights of Way:
That length of Public Footpath No. 26 Heaton from Danebridge for approximately 1640 metres to its junction with Footpath No. 48 Leekfrith and Public Footpath No.48 Leekfrith from its junction with Public Footpath No. 26 Heaton for approximately 1795 metres to the footbridge at Forest Wood.
The closure is required under the provision of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 Section 14 (1) (b) due to works taking place on the footpath. These are expected to last for twelve weeks.
A plan will be displayed on site to show length of paths to be closed.
This Order will come into operation on 1/9/25 and will remain in force for a period of six months, the closure is due to reopen on 24/10/25 or until the risk of danger to the public is over, whichever is the earlier.
If necessary, after six months, the Order may be extended for a further period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
