TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING ORDER 2025
The Oldham Borough Council on 12th August 2025 made a Temporary Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along that part of Smith Street Lees from Dunham Street for a distance of 15 metres in a southwesterly direction. The alternative route is via Dunham Street, Turner Street and Willow Bank.
The Order is to be made to allow excavations to replace electricity apparatus and will be in force for 2 weeks from 19th August 2025, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
