What is happening?

BURY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1)

THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY

(STAND LANE, RADCLIFFE)

TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:–

Stand Lane, Radcliffe – between James Street North & Fir Street

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate United Utilities works

The alternative route will be via Stand Lane, Ringley Road, Outwood Road, New Road, Radcliffe New Road, Bury New Road & Church Lane

The Order comes into operation on 16/08/2025 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 18 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately up to 3 weeks.

THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY

(KERSAL VALE ROAD, PRESTWICH)

TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:–

Kersal Vale Road, Prestwich – between Moor Lane & Agecroft Road

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate Electricity Northwest works

The alternative route will be via Moor Lane, Bury New Road, Hilton Lane, Rainsough Brow & vice versa

The proposed Order will come into operation on 01/09/2025 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 18 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately up to 2 weeks.

THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY

(PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY No.71 BUR)

TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State has approved that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury may continue in force until 13/03/27 the above Order which was made on 14/03/25 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which is as follows:–

Public Right of Way (Footpath) No.71BUR – from the Millwood Court end to the Goshen Lane end

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate the construction of a residential development

The alternative route will be via Millwood Court, Manchester Road & the pedestrian access between Nos.411–417 Manchester Road (leading to Goshen Lane) & vice-versa
