Halton - Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic Due to a New Housing Development

What is happening?

THE BOROUGH OF HALTON (CHESTER ROAD, PRESTON BROOK) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OR RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Halton Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, an Order under Section 14(1) Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

Road(s) affected: Chester Road, Preston Brook 

Reason for making the Order: the Council is satisfied that traffic on the road should be prohibited and/or restricted because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. 

Effect of the Order: during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to exceed a speed limit of 20 mph. 

Date Order to come into effect: 01 September 2025 

Maximum duration of the Order 18 months from the date the Order comes into effect
