Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Footpath Tiverton Gardens to Lynmouth Close, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 27 October 2025

Ref: SW25.26-103

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wessex Water to replace 87.32m of old metallic gas mains with 87.32m of new plastic gas main and provide new service pipes, etc via approx. 25 drive points and renew internal approx. 4 service pipes to adjacent premises. This order will become operative on the 27 October 2025 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 19 days in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Footpaths Associated Colyton, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 28 September 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to replace 45.72m of old metallic gas mains with 45.72m of new plastic gas main and renew internal approx. 45 service pipes to adjacent premises. This order will become operative on the 28 September 2025 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 12 days in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Footpath Torrington Crescent to Lynmouth Close, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wessex Water to replace 87.32m of old metallic gas mains with 87.32m of new plastic gas main and renew internal approx. 25 drive pipes to adjacent premises. This order will become operative on the 27 October 2025 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may be implemented for the whole of this duration, the closures are expected to be implemented only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 12 days in duration and between 9.30am and 3.30pm. This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace a pole. This order will become operative on the 28 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order will become operative on the 28 October 2025 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. This order will become operative on the 3 November 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 4 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order will become operative on the 13 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 8.30am and 3.30pm. This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach for safe access of pole cabling. This order will become operative on the 13 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 7 hours in duration between 8.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order will become operative on the 29 October 2025 for a maximum period of six months.
