What is happening?
PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH (PLYMOUTH UNIVERSITY STUDENT ARRIVALS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, PARKING, WAITING, LOADING & UNLOADING ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that Plymouth City Council acting under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), intend to make an Order the effect of which is:
1. To prohibit the driving of vehicles in:
Gibbon Lane - eastbound for its entirety
Gilwell Street - southbound for its entirety
Gilwell Place - westbound for its entirety
Gibbon Street - southbound for its entirety
North Hill - no left-hand turn into Gibbon Lane
Sherwell Arcade - no left-hand turn into Gibbon Lane
Tavistock Place - no right-hand turn into Gibbon Lane
2. To prohibit the parking, waiting, loading & unloading of vehicles in:
Gibbon Street - for its entirety
Tavistock Place - for its entirety
Regents Street - for its entirety
Gibbon Lane - for its entirety
Gilwell Street - for its entirety
Gilwell Place - for its entirety
The prohibition of driving, parking, waiting, loading & unloading will be in operation when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed. The Order shall come into force on the 12th September 2025 and shall continue in force for a maximum of 18months
It is anticipated that the Plymouth University Student Arrivals will commence on the 12th September 2025 until 14th September 2025 7:00 - 21:00
