Winchester Street, Temporary Road Closure Due To Gas Works

Somerset Council Parish of Taunton Temporary Closure of Winchester Street

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Winchester Street -from outside number 96 Winchester Street to outside number 92 Winchester Street. A total distance of 8 metres. This Order will enable Wales and West Utilities to carry out gas service alterations.

The Order becomes effective on 28th August 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 1 st September 2025 and last until 4th September 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 4 days.
