What is happening?

STOCKTON-ON-TEES BOROUGH COUNCIL 

Station Road, Norton 

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025 

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council propose to make an order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 not less than seven days from the date hereof the Highway Authority is satisfied that the restrictions are necessary along the said section of roads specified in the Schedules because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works. 

The effect of the Order, which will come into effect on 25th August 2025, will be provide a temporary clearway along the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 below and restrict the right turn movement in Schedule 2 at such times as traffic management signs may be erected to notify highway users of the closure. It is expected that the restrictions will be required on Monday 25 August 2025 between 09:00hrs to 18:00hrs. The Order may continue in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. 

Schedule 1 - Temporary Clearway No Stopping
Station Road, Norton - Full length Calf Fallow Lane, Norton - Full adopted length Westminster Oval, Norton - From its junction with Calf Fallow Lane in an easterly direction for approximately 54 metres. 

Schedule 2 - Temporary Right Turn Prohibition
Station Road, Norton - From Station Road southbound to B1274 Junction Road westbound.
