PUBLIC NOTICE

LONDON BOROUGH OF BROMLEY

**THE BROMLEY (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) ORDER 2003 (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 202

T803 – BROMLEY LANE, BR7

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under Sections 6 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and all other enabling powers.

The effect of the Order would be to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions as set out in the Schedule to this Notice;

Details of prohibitions and exemptions for certain vehicles and persons are contained in the original Order.

The Council has approved a proposal to provide a pelican crossing under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Act 1984 in Bromley Lane, BR7, at a point 22.4m south-west of the common boundary of Nos. 2 and 4 Bromley Lane.

The ‘controlled area’ in which waiting and loading is prohibited at all times, would apply on both the approach and exit sides of the crossing.

A copy of the proposed Order, of the plans of the scheme and of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at Bromley Civic Centre, Churchill Court, 2 Westmoreland Road, Bromley, BR1 1AS, or by emailing TrafficManagementOrders@Bromley.gov.uk.

ANY person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Director of Environment and Public Protection, Bromley Civic Centre, Churchill Court, 2 Westmoreland Road, Bromley BR1 1AS, or by email to TrafficManagementOrders@Bromley.gov.uk quoting reference ADE(TP)/RP/T100/803 not later than 3rd September 2025.

Persons objecting to the proposed Order should be aware that under the provisions of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any comments received in response to this Notice may be open to public inspection.

SCHEDULE

WAITING RESTRICTIONS – No Waiting At Any Time:-

BROMLEY LANE, BR7:

(a) the north-east side

(i) from a point 8.7m south-west of the common boundary of Nos. 4 and 6 Bromley Lane to a point 7.8m south-west of that point

(b) the south-east side

(i) from a point 6.2m south-west of the common boundary of Nos. 4 and 6 Bromley Lane to a point 10.8m south-west of the common boundary of Nos. 8 and 10 Bromley Lane.
