What is happening?
Rydens Way (D3719) Old Woking
(One-Way Traffic and Prohibition of Entry) Order 2025
On 26 August 2025 Surrey County Council in exercise of their powers under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 made the above-mentioned Order.
The effect of which will be that:- (1) Vehicles proceeding in that length of Rydens Way (D3719) Old Woking between its junction with (D3718) Sundridge Road and its junction with (D3719) Rydens Way in the vicinity of No. 37 Rydens way Woking, shall proceed in an easterly and then southerly direction only; and (2) no motor vehicles shall enter into Rydens Way (D3719) Old Woking at its junction with (D3719) Rydens Way in the vicinity of No. 37 Rydens way Woking.
The prohibitions will not apply in relation to – (a) a vehicle being used for ambulance fire brigade or police purposes in an emergency; (b) anything done upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform; or (c) any person who causes any vehicle to proceed in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed pursuant to Section 66 or 67 of the Act.
A copy of the made Order, which will come into operation on 04 September 2025 and a copy of the Order to be amended, together with the plan showing the length of road to which this Order relates and a Statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order may be inspected free of charge for a period of six weeks from 04 September 2025 at (1) Woking Library, Gloucester Walk, Woking, Surrey, GU21 6EP; and (2) Reception, Surrey Highways, Hazel House, Merrow Lane, Guildford Surrey GU4 7BQ, by appointment only.
