Westwood Lane, Sutherland Avenue, Ingleton Avenue, Groombridge Close, Wendover Way, Welling - Notice of Intention
The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE, that to enable highway improvement works by a council contractor on behalf of the London Borough of Bexley they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:
• Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in Westwood Lane from outside 268 to the side of 656 East Rochester Way, Sidcup
• Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in Sutherland Avenue at the junction with Westwood Lane, Welling preventing ingress and egress to Westwood Lane, Welling
• Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in Ingleton Avenue at the junction with Westwood Lane, Welling preventing ingress and egress to Westwood Lane, Welling
• Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in Groombridge Close at the junction with Westwood Lane, Welling preventing ingress and egress to Westwood Lane, Welling
• Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in Wendover Way at the junction with Westwood Lane, Welling preventing ingress and egress to Westwood Lane, Welling
• No waiting no loading (Parking Restrictions) as detailed in schedule one of this order
The Order will come into effect on 27 August 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 4 days.
Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via,
• Westwood Lane
• Blackfen Road, Danson Underpass, Danson Road, Park View Road, Welling High Street, Bellegrove Road and reverse
• Blackfen Road, Wellington Avenue, The Oval, Wilsley Avenue, Halfway Street, Hurst Road, Penhill Road, Danson Underpass, Danson Road, Park View Road, Welling High Street, Bellegrove Road, Westwood Lane
• Localised diversions to be signposted as and when required
Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that an order has been made, to enable highway improvement works by a council contractor on behalf of London Borough of Bexley the effects of which will be the introduction of:
• Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in The Park from the junction with Carlton Road to the Junction with Elm Road, Sidcup
• No waiting no loading (Parking Restrictions) in The Park from the junction with Carlton Road to the Junction with Elm Road, Sidcup
The Order will come into effect on 18 August 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 3 days.
Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via,
• Carlton Road, Elm Road and reverse
• Chislehurst Road, 4th Exit at roundabout, Chislehurst Road, Elm Road, Carlton Road
Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that an order has been made, to enable JDT Utilities Ltd on behalf of Southern Gas Networks to undertake their Gas Mains Replacement works, the effects of which will be the introduction of:
• Prohibition of traffic on Cumberland Avenue at the junction with Buckingham Avenue, Welling
• Prohibition of traffic on Cumberland Avenue at the junction with Northumberland Avenue, Welling
• Prohibition of traffic on Buckingham Avenue from outside 30 to The Green, Welling
• Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition Buckingham Avenue from No. 30 to the junction with The Green (both sides of the carriageway)
• Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition on Cumberland Avenue from the junction with Northumberland Avenue to junction with Buckingham Avenue, Welling (both sides of the carriageway)
• Restrictions to be removed when not required.
The Order will come into effect on 14 August 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 6 weeks.
Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via:
• Cumberland Avenue Diversion
? Hook Lane, Westwood Lane, Northumberland Avenue, and reverse
• Buckingham Avenue Diversion
? The Green, Hook Lane, Yorkland Avenue, and reverse
Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable Forefront Utilities on behalf of Southern Gas Networks to undertake their Gas Mains Replacement works, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:
• Prohibition of traffic on Orchard Avenue, Belvedere – the entire length
• Prohibition of traffic on Barnfield Road, Belvedere, from the junction with Nuxley Road to the junction with Harold Avenue, Belvedere
• Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition in Orchard Avenue, Belvedere – entire length of the carriageway, both sides of the road.

The Order will come into effect on 25 August 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 4 weeks.

• Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

The Order will come into effect on 20 August 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 4 days.
Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via
• Hurst Road, Halfway Street, Avery Hill Road, Foots Cray Road, Main Road, Station Road, Hatherley Road and reverse
• Faraday Avenue, Hatherley Crescent, Station Road, Elm Road, Chislehurst Road, 4 exit on roundabout Chislehurst Road, Elm Road then join Hurst Road diversion
• Access to Canterbury Avenue via Hurst Road, Sidcup
